Soon coming Women’s Overflow Shelter

We on Sunday were made an offer we could have $40,000 towards paying off our building, which we need $50,000, or we could take this 4 plex apartment building. The person that made this offer have been checking us out for a few months upfront. I cannot tell you anymore than that lest some might figure out who this person is who wishes to be anonymous.

We prayed about it, talked about it, and decided to take us the offer of the 4 plex, which we will use as a woman’s overflow shelter. We are looking at bunk beds two in each bedroom so 8 women per 3 apartments 24 women. But we may rework the whole thing and make room for a few more we will see.

We believe the once open this overflow can be funded by people in Wichita. Right not I am not looking for any money from you for this at all. I know some might want to donate to this so if you are one of these then for now I will take pledges from you.

To open yes we will need to raise a base of $1,500 a month to keep utilities on of course. We also will be looking for some money to repaint and get bunk beds etc. We are praying that we can get local Wichita support for this. If you want to help in this okay as long as it does not take away from what you already do.

What this donation means that many prayers we have been making for the women have been answered, it also tells us that the Father is still blessing this ministry. We are still moving forward despite the economy and consistently having to pray in donations.

While we are very happy about this we have a shortfall in donations for this month. Things like the trash service, the internet, and other normal monthly mission bills have not been paid and supplies we need.

This shortfall adds up, we need to bring in $1,750 like yesterday.

And speaking of yesterday, no one was open for the homeless in Wichita but us yesterday. We had all the chairs and tables full and many people standing all day long.

Mom served Hot dawgs with cake, nacho’s, and cantaloupe. It was the bomb as she says!

Medications were also given out as were rides before dark (we have no tail lights, yes we are still praying for the mission bus).

There is a hug snow and possible ice storm headed our way and we need to be able to be there for the people. We need YOUR HELP to make it possible.
